
ABOUT
S/he is a Danish owned non-profit organization, based in the municipality of Copenhagen, Denmark. The organization was founded by Mary Consolata Namagambe, and is a voluntary association, secular (non-religious), and a non-governmental organisation. The organisation can therefore be categorized as an NGO.

Sh/e focuses on improving the experience and understanding of menstruation, for women and girls.The organisation works to spread awareness and fight menstrual stigma, among other things through fundraising and organizing public talks and informative events about menstruation, menstrual health, stigma and sanitation products.

The charitable purpose of the organization Sh/e is to improve awareness of menstruation in our community, and help to raise the self-esteem of all menstruating persons. The organization seeks to fulfill its purpose by fighting stigma and work on spreading and offering information in our community.
More specifically, this is done by activities focusing on public information and education, workshops and courses focused on capacity building. In addition to this work, Sh/e also contributes with donations of sanitary products and educational material around the world, with the purpose of addressing the social and economic stigmatization and the taboo that exist in connection to menstruation and menstruating.

She for She is a non-governmental organization and social enterprise based in Uganda, working to support young women to stay in school and reach their potential. Their goal is to equip and empower women in Uganda to produce and sell affordable and reusable pads to keep girls in school and offer affordable menstrual products for the every-day woman in Uganda.

MEMBERS
The Board of S/he Denmark is made up of seven committed individuals with expertise in development work, gender equality, and sustainability.
Chair Anna Leth Clant leverages her strong networks in Uganda and Denmark to improve youth access to hygiene products and education.
Vice Chair Camilla Lund brings experience from Uganda and Afghanistan and is passionate about menstrual hygiene and girls' rights.
Khalid Nassri, Treasurer, contributes business and data expertise to support sustainable growth.
Maria Pedersen draws on her background with the UN City to strengthen communication and design strategies.
Carina Nimann Nielsen, with a background in English and art history, champions women’s narratives and rights.
Dilansev Gezen offers experience in board governance, Islamic studies, and civic engagement. Together, the board works to break taboos and empower girls globally.

TYPE OF MEMBER
If you wish to become a member of the organization S/he, you are welcome to become a member both as a private person or as a corporation. You have the opportunity to choose between being a personal member, a private-donation member or a corporate donation member.
To become a member, you have to pay a membership fee, which consists of a yearly contribution/donation, as well as a membership startup fee. The membership fee for each membership category is decided every year at the general assembly, taking place yearly, in the month of May at the latest. As a member of S/he you do not have a right to any of the organizations’ assets or funds, or have the right to receive any kind of profit from the organization.
If you wish to end your membership of S/he, this can be done by sending a written request to our managing director Mary Consolata Namagambe. The termination notice must be sent before the next upcoming membership fee, since there is no possibility for getting your paid membership fee refunded by us.
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
As a member of the organization S/he you are supporting the organisations purpose and work. In the event that a member counteracts the purpose and work of the organization, the board of directors have the right to make the decision to terminate the membership, if 2/3 of the members of the board is in agreement. Your membership will also be terminated in the event that the yearly membership fee has not been paid after 4 months or more.
